Frequently Asked Questions

Q - What needs to be done to the skull before I bring it to you?
A - Just remove the head from the neck as close to the head as possible, by cutting at the closest joint to the head. Freeze if not delivering soon.

Q - Is the bottom jaw included in the mount?

A - No, not for deer, elk, buffalo, unless it's requested and an extra 10.00 will be charged for the cleaning of the lower jaw.

Q - What needs to be done if I'm mailing you the skull?
A - Remove as much of the head as possible to make it lighter for shipping ie. the hide, lower jaw and tongue. Double bag and freeze solid. Pack in a box and ship it on Monday so it gets to me sooner.

Q - Do you need any money up front?
A - No, you'll be billed when the skull is delivered or picked up. Payment is required before mailing back to you or when you pick it up.

Q - Sending skulls from CWD states
A - If you are sending a skull that was shot in a state that has a history of CWD then certain steps must be taken before sending to Michigan. All spinal cord and the brain must be removed before sending to me. First remove the entire neck up to the back of the skull, at the last vetibrea.
After this is removed you will see a small hole going into the brain cavity. You will need to reach into there with a wire or knife and remove all the brain matter. I have the best luck by stirring it all up so it looks like a strawberry malt then flush
the cavity out with water. Repeat several times to get it all out. If you have questions, feel free to contact me anytime by e-mail.

Q - Where are you located?
A - I'm 8 miles north of Menominee Michigan.
